OKINAWA, Japan — Kadena Middle School hosted its second annual Evening of the Arts on May 27, 2026, providing students an opportunity to showcase their work from the school’s fine arts programs.

The event included visual art exhibits and performances by students across multiple disciplines, including music, drama, dance and band.

The visual arts exhibit featured student work from grades six through eight in a variety of media.

Band students performed at beginning, intermediate and advanced levels under the direction of Mr. Wall, demonstrating skill progression throughout the school year.

Music performances included jazz, choir and strings ensemble directed by Mr. Simon. Students also presented drama and dance performances under the direction of Ms. Davis.

Event organizers noted the strong attendance and positive engagement from families and community members. They also emphasized continued support for the program and plan to sustain the event as an annual opportunity to highlight student learning and achievement in the fine arts.
