Welcome to Kadena MS!
Named for Kadena Air Base, on which it is located, Kadena Middle School opened its doors to students in September, 1990. With an average annual attendance of over 700, over 14,000 military and civilian dependents have been KMS Wolverines since opening.
Continuous School Improvement Goals
Goal 1:Â
Kadena Middle School students will improve the quality of their communication of depth of knowledge (DOK) through a focus on content specific informational text
By SY 21-22, there will be a 5% increase in the percentage of students meeting or exceeding the sub-claim of written expression; with a focus on informational text, on the CCR Summative Assessment in Literacy
Goal 2:Â
Kadena Middle School students will improve their ability to model and apply solutions, express reasoning, and justify their thinking within content area curriculum by utilizing a variety of instructional strategies.
By SY21-22, there will be a 5% increase in percentage of 6th and 8th grade students meeting or exceeding on the DoDEA summative assessments in applied content areas with emphasis on the CCR Summative Assessment in Mathematics.
We belong to the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Pacific South School District. DoDEA is a Department of Defense field activity operating under the direction, authority, and control of the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness and the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Military Community and Family Policy.
Goal 1: Reading Comprehension
All students will improve in Reading Comprehension.
Goal 2: Mathematics
All students will increase achievement in Mathematics.
